Senior-Led
Activities and routines are co-created with seniors. Their feedback shapes the daily experience.
About Us
Jyapu Samaj Jestha Nagarik Ananda Niketan is a senior citizen care initiative developed by Jyapu Samaj Yala. It grows from collective culture and elder-led dialogue — not from an institutional model of care.
We believe aging does not mean withdrawal from life. Growing older means continuing to belong, to contribute, and to be heard.
Our Story →“Aging does not mean withdrawal from life.”
At Ananda Niketan, growing older means continuing to belong, to contribute, and to be heard.
Our Approach
A participatory, culturally grounded model that places seniors at the centre of decision-making.
Activities and routines are co-created with seniors. Their feedback shapes the daily experience.
Born from Jyapu Samaj Yala’s collective culture — care is shared, not outsourced.
Newari traditions, language, food, and customs are woven into everyday life.
Seniors are active contributors and decision-makers, never passive recipients of care.
Building a community-based senior care approach that can grow across Nepal.
